Standing at the Royal Egg opens a grid titled ROYAL EGG. It is not a tab in the Dino Index and it is not a row in the Dino Shop. Five portraits sit in the grid. Nothing else on that grid names a sixth result.
The button under the grid says HATCH [E]. Under the words, a hexagon icon sits next to 79. There is no dollar sign. The game does not call that icon gems on this screen, so this page does not either.
The five rates
Read the percent on the portrait.
| Result | Percent | Plain count |
|---|---|---|
| Ancient Protector | 36.4% | The result you should expect to see first |
| Air Wyvern | 28.4% | A bit under a third |
| Electric Wyvern | 20.5% | About 1 in 5 |
| Flame Wyvern | 9.1% | About 1 in 11 |
| Galaxy Rex | 5.7% | About 1 in 18 |
Added up, those five figures come to 100.1, which is what you get from rounding each one to a tenth. There is no room on this panel for a hidden sixth prize.
Galaxy Rex at 5.7% is close to 1 in 17.5, so about 1 in 18 is a fair way to say it. Eighteen hatches is around the average if each hatch is independent and the printed percent is the true chance. You are not owed a Rex at 18. The panel does not show a pity counter, a luck bonus, or a duplicate rule. Those stay off this page until they are on screen.
Ancient Protector at 36.4% is the common end. Flame Wyvern at 9.1% is rarer than Air Wyvern and Electric Wyvern. The portraits have their own colors. The panel does not stamp Rare, Epic, or Legendary on them.
Use the hatch calculator when you want the chance of at least one success across a number of hatches you choose. Change 5.7 to 36.4, 28.4, 20.5, or 9.1 for the other portraits. The calculator is that probability model. It is not a hidden game formula.
These names are not index dinosaurs
The 33 index dinosaurs end at Titanosaurus. Ancient Protector, the wyverns, and Galaxy Rex are not on those cards. Hatching Galaxy Rex does not fill the Juvenile Tyrannosaurus card. Do not assign an egg portrait an index HP, DMG, SPD, or wave. Those numbers were not on the egg panel.
Frost Egg is a different label
Out on the grass, a label reads FROST EGG with $10000 under it. That is a cash price. It does not list hatch percents and it does not say HATCH [E]. Other base labels in that shot belong to other players. Use the words FROST EGG and the $10000 directly under them.
$10000 is more than the entire early index and less than Bone Mender at $17,500 or Tar Pit at $180,000. It is still more than Dimorphodon, Diplodocus, and Titanosaurus added together ($320 + $855 + $1,156). You cannot pay the Royal Egg's 79 with that cash, and you cannot pay the Frost Egg with the hexagon count.
When to hatch
Hatch when the board you need for the next boss is already claimed. If you are on wave 13 and you do not own Pachycephalosaurus, the $30 card does more for that fight than a 5.7% Rex. If you are past wave 80, Dimorphodon is $320 of cash, and the egg is 79 of the other currency. They compete for your attention, not for the same wallet.
The egg panel in the filmed frame has no New items in countdown. The shop timer does. If Bone Mender or Tar Pit is in stock and you need the sentence on that row, do that first, then come back to HATCH [E].
The official text says to protect the egg. It does not print an egg HP number. No egg HP is listed here.
